Disciple's Path A Disciple's Path class will be starting on Sunday, May 5th from 9:15-10:15 am and will run for 6 weeks. New members or anyone interested please contact the church office. Please RSVP by April 23rd so that we can order the books for the class.
The Art of Marriage Please join us for this six week small group video series to learn how to make a masterpiece of your marriage. Class runs from Sunday, May 5th-June 9th from 9:15-10:15 am in Room 303. Please contact the church office by April 30th to register. All stages of marriage welcome!

Greater Latrobe Senior Appreciation Luncheon The Greater Latrobe Senior High School Student Council is sponsoring their annual free Senior Appreciation Luncheon. Greater Latrobe school district residents over the age of 60 are invited to attend this afternoon of food and entertainment on Wednesday, April 24 from 12:45-2:15 at the Greater Latrobe Seniru High School Cafeteria. Call 724-539-4225 between 8am-2:30pm weekdays April 1-9 for reservations.
Homemade Fondant Easter Eggs $10.00 each. There are still a few eggs available. We do not have all kinds. Chocolate is also available for $2.50/lb
Women's Retreat The Women's retreat will be at the Laurelville Mennonite Center, Mt Pleasant, PA on April 26th-28th. Registration forms are available in the vestibule or contact the church office.
Music Night May 10th @ 6:30pm. Bring your family and friends to Bethany for an evening of music! All the fun starts at 6:30 with the band "In One Accord" then "Reverent Heart will play at 7:30pm. Afterwards there will be light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. The event is free but a Love Offering will be taken. We hope to see you there!
The Trustees will be having a demonstration/program on Preparing for an Armed Intruder by the Capozzi Group on May 5th from 1:00-5:00 pm in the sanctuary. The Capozzi Group is headed by Rick Capozzi. Mr. Capozzi is a learning strategist and master of changing human behavior in stressful situations. He has been designing and delivering these programs for 25 years to enlighten and educate the public. The newsletter for the month of April will have an insert informing how to register for the program. There is no fee, except for a good will offering to offset the price of the event. The Trustees feel this program will benefit not only our church activities, but also inform everyone to stay alert of their surroundings when out and about in the community. Please register as soon as possible, seating is limited.
First Fellowship Sundays-A time to connect and reflect Beginning February 17 in the Fellowship Hall. Available from 8am - 12:30pm light refreshments will be provided. If you are interested in hosting a Sunday, please contact the church office
Food Panty Collection Donations needed for April are: Granola Bars/Breakfast Bars. Please place your donations in the marked green containers in the vestibule. Or for monetary donations please place it in a brown envelope and mark it "Food Panty".
Prayer Shawls are Available If you need a prayer shawl or prayer squares, please contact the church office
Alter Flowers Many weeks we have flowers on the altar to decorate the sanctuary while honoring or remembering a loved one or a special occasion. If you would like to purchase flowers for a weekend, the cost is $30 for a table top arrangement and $50 for the altar flowers. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the front vestibule, or you can contact the church office. Please let us know by the Tuesday before what you would like placed in the bulletin.
Pictures Needed For the 2018 History of Bethany, we are requesting that anyone who has pictures of any church event during the past year(2018) please share them! Please contact the church office.
Jr. Chruch (K-6th grade) Jr. Chruch will start on Feb 3rd and we are still looking for volunteers who would be willing to help one Sunday or more a month at the 10:30 service on Sundays. Please contact the church office if interested.
Disciple I Bible Study Would you like to understand more about the Old Testament, and see how it can help in understanding the New Testament? If you are hungry for the Word of God and for fellowship in prayer and study , or as a follow up to the Disciples Path study, Disciple I is for you. The class will be a daylight class, from 9:30 to 12:00 noon, and Part 1-The Old Testament, will begin 8/26/19-12/23/19. Part 2, New Testament, tentative begin dates are 3/16/20-7/20/20 with the same class times. The class is open for 6-10 students. For more information contact the church office.
Help Wanted: Food Pantry Volunteers needed: Operation Fresh Express is coming to Prince of Peace Church on Thursday, April 11th. Volunteers are needed to help distribute the food. Arrival time is 3:15pm and should conclude by 5:30pm. Please note that this is an outside ministry, so dress according to the weather. There will be a sign-up sheet on the front pew of the sanctuary. We are looking for a Youth Director and Volunteers to help with the Youth Ministry and a Vacation Bible School Coordinator. Also needed are Volunteers to help with Jr. Church at the 10:30 service on Sundays. Please contact the office if interested in any of these wonderful opportunities. Crocheters are needed to crochet the sleeping mats for the homeless. Please contact the office if interested. VBS will be August 4-8 from 6-8:30, volunteers are needed even if only part time.
Cancellations due to weather If the services need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, we have a One Call System that will call everyone on the list and let them know. It will also be listed on WTAE, the church website, and the Facebook page. If you are not on the One Call List and would like to be added, please write your name and number on a blue card and place it in the offering plate or contact the church office.
